Dear Athlete or Coach,
I have a few questions for you. Please be brutally honest when you answer…
Have you ever worked really hard to prepare for a big competition
– I mean with 100% effort — only to perform far below your ability?
Worse, you had every reason to be confident, but you didn’t know why this happened.
In your mind, you knew you were good enough, but for some reason you couldn’t summon the confidence you needed, and you ended up being passive.
Here’s another one…
Have you ever started out with a great game plan only to encounter
problem after problem such as a bad start, an opponent who is
‘on fire’, or bad officiating?
Pretty soon, you got that sinking feeling in your stomach that today
just wasn’t your day?
The worst part was that you thought you were mentally prepared until these things crept up on you. And finally:
Have you ever under-performed…whether it was due to fatigue,
a surprising opponent, or simply a sub-par effort…and then had trouble
re-kindling your motivation and confidence before the next event?
You were trying to re-group, but you continued to doubt…and trying to make technical corrections only made you feel worse.
I’m guessing when these things happened, your friends said things like, “You just need to BELIEVE in yourself.”
Or they said, “Don’t worry about it. You’ll do better next time.”
But no matter what they said, you kept thinking about it. In fact, these failures really ate you up inside.
And I’ll bet the reason why it got to you was that you were secretly worried that these disappointments had something to do with your mental game.
Unfortunately, you’re probably right.
Chances are your level of mental toughness did have something to do with your disappointing performance, and things probably would have turned out differently if you would have known how to deal with the situation.
You can prevent these situations from happening and reach your potential…if you know what to do…
NOT knowing how to win under pressure is awful.
It really sucks.
It makes you feel worthless and useless.
It creates a secret self-doubt that follows you everywhere…
You feel a bit embarrassed all the time.
Eventually you start feeling like a FAILURE AS AN ATHLETE.
On the other hand…
KNOWING how to win under pressure feels GREAT.
It feels great not to second-guess yourself all the time…and it feels great to not to worry about what people think of you.
It feels great to have a foundation of confidence underneath your feet…so your opponents fear you instead of you fearing them.
It just feels great knowing how to win.
Winning is one of the best things in life – which is why you must learn how to do it.
Here are the three most common mental mistakes athletes make:
Most athletes are obsessed with winning. They’re thinking about how to perform well and look good. They’re especially obsessed with not choking.
Maybe you’ve been there yourself. I know I have. Many, many times.
The obsession with winning usually comes with another impulse: TRYING TO CONTROL – winning, your performance, and your confidence.
Trying to control leads to PRESSING. When you PRESS, you interfere with your technique rather than let your body lead.
If you’re a tennis player, you’ll try to guide and steer the ball, which messes up your strokes and erodes your game.
If you’re a basketball player, you’ll try to ‘do it all yourself’ and drive to the basket every time instead of reading the defense.
You’ll also pressure yourself to be calm and confident at all times, even when it’s natural for you to be a little nervous or frustrated.
You’ll pressure your teammates to play better, pressures your coach to make changes, and pressure officials to shape up. You take your focus off the event and put it on stuff you can’t control.
None of this leads to a magnificent performance under pressure.
Coaches also PRESS – by correcting athletes, telling them to be confident, and getting angry when the athlete doesn’t perform. Of course, this doesn’t work, because this causes athletes to tense up, over-try, and make even more errors.
Did you know that while there are many stressors and setbacks you can face in competition (a mistake, a bad start, negative coach), one of these affects you more than all of the others combined? I call this your “demon stressor”.
Even confident athletes can fall victim to choking when their demon shows up. If you want to win consistently, you must use an exact process for defeating your “demon stressor” (…and it’s not positive thinking – because all too often, there is nothing positive about this stressor).
Do you ever over-criticize yourself for under-performing?
You might find this shocking, but here’s the truth: Frustration is NOT a problem if you know how to handle it. If you’re a competitive athlete, it’s natural to get mad when you’re losing.
But most athletes make the mistake of channeling their frustration towards themselves in a way that’s destructive and makes them passive and depressed.
If this describes you, not only are you going to be on an emotional roller coaster, you’ll be tough to coach.
Here’s why: When you over-criticize yourself, you create shame. You are assuming you cannot get the performance you want from yourself. This is based on a view of yourself that says, ‘I can’t do it.’
So what should you do instead?
I’m so glad you asked…
The solution, my friend, is to stop trying to win without a mental toughness roadmap…stop beating up on yourself emotionally…and start learning proven, ADVANCED mental toughness strategies that superstar athletes know and use every day.
And here’s how…
I’m going to give you 3 simple, ADVANCED mental toughness secrets for winning under pressure.
Use these 3 simple, ADVANCED secrets to win under pressure consistently.
Winning starts with mastering FEAR and performance anxiety…in fact the single most critical skill you’ll ever learn is how to create an unshakable confidence and BELIEF in yourself as an athlete.
When you develop this unshakable confidence you’ll notice some surprising changes will start to happen…
Setbacks and mistakes that used to rattle you will suddenly become non-issues…even to the point of not bothering you at all…your confidence will always be there, inside you, ready to carry you to victory.
Sadly, this kind of breakthrough confidence isn’t something you can “decide” to have.
Without the right guidance, it can take years of trial and error…and it’s easily wiped out if you’re not careful.
If you REALLY want to win consistently under pressure, you must learn this key step.
You need to learn the skill of creating breakthrough confidence in yourself.
Luckily through my own research and personal toil I’ve developed several ‘magical’ strategies for mastering fear and skyrocketing your confidence NOW.
I’ve discovered ways any athlete can make stunning, potent changes that transform their confidence overnight…not matter where your confidence is now…and it won’t take you years.
When you get your athletic confidence mastered, you’ll be shocked how quickly your performance falls into place.
What’s even better is that you’ll never again have to worry about ‘losing your confidence’ and wondering where it went.
Have you ever felt in control of a competition only to have an opponent do something quite unexpected, totally robbing you of momentum?
Ever woken up on game day feeling flat for no apparent reason?
Have you ever found yourself so overwhelmed with nerves you could barely swallow?
The simple truth is that these situations happen ALL THE TIME, even to superstars…and all too often athletes end up losing because they don’t know how to handle their ‘inner game.’
I’ve discovered that the key to preventing losing is having a specific, effective mental toughness strategy for each of these situations…whether it is intense performance anxiety, an opponent who is shocking you…feeling flat or fatigued on the big day…and anything else that may arise.
For example, imagine you had a strategy for dealing with early mistakes in a competition EVERY TIME so you could trigger breakthrough confidence under that circumstance — and maintain it…
…and for the rest of your life you could easily overcome setbacks no matter what was happening around you…and dominate…
Now, imagine you had a SURE-FIRE psyche up method for guaranteeing a killer start even when you wake up flat on the Big Day…so you no matter how the day starts out, you are psyched to win…
Are you reading my mail on this?
When you have GUARANTEED, proven methods for conquering every situation you find yourself in competitively, you can literally predict your performance in big competitions.
You can take the guesswork out of it – you can know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you can trust yourself to shine under pressure.
You will FINALLY break free of the destructive cycle of shame that follows you when you choke.
The fantastic thing is that you can use these techniques immediately and start seeing results.
When you have hidden cache of established methods that work, you get an almost “unfair” advantage over all your competitors – and you escape the fear that you’ll never reach your true potential.
One of the most important elements of becoming a champion is taking control of your destiny as an athlete.
I’ll admit…there are some athletes who were destined for greatness right from the start.
But the reality is that many superstars today – including NBA basketball MVP Steve Nash – DECIDED to become superstars…and methodically set about making it a reality.
It’s crucial that you take charge of your destiny as an athlete NOW, even if you don’t have professional or Olympic aspirations.
See, the mistake most athletes make is that they set “achievable” goals.
They don’t aim for what goals they REALLY want because they think there is too much competition.
Problem is, there is a lot more competition for achievable goals than lofty ones.
If you want to truly reach your potential, you must learn how to separate yourself from the pack by maxing out on your unique talents as an athlete.
You’ll be astonished at how easy and simple this is if you just follow the method I lay out for you.
There is no greater feeling than mapping out a destiny for yourself and then becoming the athlete you always knew you could be.
If you aren’t winning consistently – the way you should be – I know you’re not doing these three things.
Which makes me wonder, WHEN you are going to get on board and do them?
If you are ready to finally catapult yourself to the next level in your sport, I’ve created an amazing ADVANCED Program that will radically improve your ability to win consistently and command respect in your sport.
This is your golden opportunity to learn my finest ADVANCED concepts so you can enjoy unparalleled mental toughness and breakthrough confidence.

She’d reveal these to you so that you could apply the Courage to Win® in Sport to your inner blocks and use intangible mental toughness factor to master them.

Do you get intense nerves? I’ve found that most athletes are (unwittingly) making their anxiety WORSE before major competitions – and I’ll reveal how to eliminate them quickly.
Are easily distracted by hassles such as equipment problems, late starts, mistakes, or annoying opponents? This phenomenon can be traced to a specific mental reaction you are having that, once found, can be completely reversed to restore you to confidence.
Do you struggle to BELIEVE in yourself? This is a very particular syndrome that has a precise antidote. In my coaching answers, I’ll reveal what the real problem is and how to leave behind your self-doubt.
By giving you my coaching responses to the mental toughness action assignments in your training, I’ve done 80% of the work for you.
Please pay attention to this point, because just about every athlete who takes this training finds my coaching solutions a very close match that literally wipes their problem off the map.

Lisa’s course was incredibly helpful. It’s odd because psychology is my favourite subject in school, but my mental game was seriously lacking. My favourite part would be doing the assignments, I find that they ensure that I’m taking in what is being taught and that I’m applying the lesson on the court.
Joella Bernard, Finalist, USA Women’s Heavy Bodybuilding
Your information on mental toughness saved me a great deal of money. You made it so simple, be your own mental toughness coach! In the past I would wait for other people to tell me how good I was. Now I can create this confidence from the inside. My national show is at the end of the year and I know I will turn pro. Thank you!

Mental toughness gave me the edge that I needed to become an elite curler. I had always been a good player, but weak mentally. I was able to overcome the one major obstacle that stood in my way. The mental toughness that I now have has helped in sport, life and my work. I am now better prepared to deal with people, because I am more confident.
Keith Uthe, High Performance Basketball Official
The course has been very enlightening and gratifying. It has moved me further along the road to success and will help me for years to come. I have enjoyed the assignments and the feedback provided. Dany Urriza, Tennis Player Tierra del Fuego, Argentina
I am 47 years old. Since I was a kid I liked to play tennis but at that time was expensive for my parents and they couldn`t afford it. Two years ago I had the chance to start having lessons, I thought that for this kind of sport you must start when you are a kid, but I was wrong. Soon I started to play matches and now I am playing in local tournaments.
I have to play to 18 years old kids sometimes, and at 47 this is very tough but I like the challenge. Today against all predictions I won a tough match and I know your book helped me do it. I was most of the time down in the score, but I won anyway 4-6, 7-6, 7-6. For the first time I was able to maintain focus in the important moments in a very long match. Thank you very much!
-Dany Urriza
Shawnee Harle, Head Coach University of Calgary Basketball
Mental toughness has the athletes confront their Inner barriers and access their self-confidence. I'm a better coach today because I know how to look beyond the x's and o's of the game. I relate to my athletes better.
Jan Pula, Laurentian University Varsity Curling Coach
I recently ordered The Courage to Win® in Sport ADVANCED Course and quickly absorbed Lesson 1, including the audio. The discussion on why winning is important made a significant impact on me and I shared it with my team. We participated in a bonspiel on the past weekend without having been on the ice this year yet…Our goal was to come home with a winning record having made progress on communication systems …we lost our first game – a close one — but then went on to win 7 straight and take home the Championship Flight prize! After each win we celebrated not so much the win but the satisfaction of knowing the win showed we were “evolving” and “growing” as individuals and as a team. You would have been amazed at how that shift in perception about winning and losing created a positive environment over the entire weekend. Honestly – this one lesson I learned has been worth the cost of the program! Jan Pula
Cal Wigston, Head Coach Men's Volleyball University of Guelph
This past March we made it to the gold medal match knocking off the previous OUA champs in 5 sets. Thanks to your candor, honesty, insight and adviceI was prepared to coach the many different personality styles my players had and be successful. You helped me understand myself this year and what I needed to do. I am way more confident in my coaching ability - thanks so much for everything you did to help me prepare for this year.
BJ Young, Men’s Wrestling
Lisa, I purchased “the courage to win” about three weeks ago. I read it thoroughly and did all the exercises numerous times. After I had a much better understanding of my anxieties and learned how to focus my energy in a positive way. I just returned from the USA high school Senior National wrestling tournament. Before your material I placed 12th in the state of NJ.I knew I was much better than that. After using your material I just placed 3rd in the country for 130lbs. senior wrestlers. Thank you so much.I will continue to use this focus for life.
Gail Lohman, Triathlete
At my World Triathlon Championship, your words were in my head throughout the event. I kept thinking about rhythm throughout the day. When we spoke, I told you my goal was to be top 10. I finished 9th. I finished with a PR. My previous fastest time in a race of this distance was 5:47. I was hoping to go 5:45. I finished in 5:39.
I am thrilled. Another exciting part is that my husband and I finished the race together. This has never happened before. Very cool that it happened in the World Championship. You really helped!
Because I want as many athletes and coaches as possible to benefit, I’ve decided to price it very economically, at just $299 $197. For a team of twelve, this is only $16.41 per athlete!
Is this program guaranteed? Absolutely. Sign up now. If you’re not happy with the training, tell us and you can have ALL your money back – no hassles, as per my 100% No “Hedging or Aggravation” Money Back Guarantee.
Think about this guarantee for a minute: it’s exactly the same as taking home a new car, test driving it for 2 weeks, then returning the car and have the dealer say to you, “OK, here is all your money back…and, by the way, you get to keep the car too.” It’s the same thing, because we can’t take back what you will learn. PPS: Here are some common questions people ask about this Advanced HOME STUDY program:
Q. Lisa, I’m pretty busy. How much time does The Courage to Win® in Sport: Perform Your Best Under Pressure take? A. It will take your athletes approximately 1-2 hours each week. If you’re considering this training but are worried about your athletes’ time, remember that most people watch between 30-40 hours of T.V. per week. The good news is that your athletes will LOVE this program, so you will not have to motivate them! The material is presented in an exciting way, PLUS it’s the answer to their prayers. Of course, many coaches take their athletes through this program themselves because it’s so simple to do. If you do, I suggest you conduct four mental toughness sessions with your team (based on the four lessons in the program). The materials are laid out so that you can host these four sessions with no changes and minimal prep….it’s so easy, it’s almost ‘paint by number’. Plus, if you do have any questions, we provide unlimited email and telephone support for you just in case you need clarification or quick support. Q. My athletes are already at the top of their division. Why should I bother with this training? A. That’s great and many people envy you. However, as you well know, the difference between success and failure at the highest level of sport is as thin as a razor’s edge. Everyone is getting more competitive and, I’m guessing they are gunning for you. To stay on top, why not give your team that added mental edge? Plus, the Courage to Win® will not only make your athletes better, it can help them mature, be more coachable and accountable, and open up a whole new world of fulfillment for them in sport. Q. Lisa, I don’t have an unlimited budget. Your training costs more than a cup of coffee. How can I be sure I’ll get my money’s worth? A. I don’t blame you for being skeptical or cost conscious. Lots of people are trying to sell worthless information to others by preying on their regret over past failures, which I personally detest. That’s why there are a few important things I want you to know about me. Without bragging, I have a very strong reputation for being an excellent coach with a tremendous command of mental toughness strategies. I have personally coached thousands of world class athletes, business people, and performing artists to new heights. I have conducted over 1,100 seminars on mental toughness across North America. I have my own electronic magazine with over 12,000 subscribers. I am interviewed by media such as The New York Times and Entrepreneur magazine on performance enhancement and mental toughness. I am not going to damage my professional reputation by selling you a bad training program, which is why I back it with my 100% “No Hedging or Aggravation” Money-Back Guarantee. I can make this no-risk offer because I KNOW how many athletes and coaches have successfully used this program to achieve life-changing results. |
